Imagine that after years of secondary infertility and tragic loss, your prayers have been answered for a sweet adopted baby boy. You, your husband, and your two older children are working through normal transitions as you welcome the tiny baby into your home.
Then all of a sudden at eighteen months old, something changes in your son. His behavior becomes unpredictable, scary even. He won’t sleep, he screams all the time and he won’t communicate what he needs.
What do you do when all the beliefs and methods of parenting that you use in raising your other children are being challenged?
You want to help your son, but you don’t know how. What do you do?
That’s the situation that my guest today was faced with. Lindsay Leiviska went through six challenging and painful years searching desperately for answers to help her son. As she gained knowledge from doctors and books, she also uncovered and worked through her own beliefs around parenting.
All in hopes of helping her son manage his behaviors and thrive in his development as a child.
On the other side of her incredible heart change, she created her business called A Heart for All Students.
Lindsay truly has the heart to help children who think and process the world differently. She does this by equipping the amazing moms and dads who raise them.
