Now that the Journey song “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” is playing in your head…
Think about what you liked to play as a child. What you looked forward to doing. Maybe it was drawing, or “teaching school”, or building impressive “worlds” out of legos.
Or maybe you choreographed dances to Paula Abdul songs and recorded them on the video camera. Okay, maybe that was just me.
Do you still do those things that made your heart sing as a child?
Do you make money doing them?
My guest on today’s episode, Felicity Fox, has turned her long-time love of writing and rhyming into a career as a children’s book author and editor. Felicity is also a wife and a mother of two young kids.
Felicity was born and raised in a small New England town in Upstate New York. And from a young age, she’s loved reading, writing, and playing the piano.
She took to heart her father’s great advice to “find something you love to do and find someone who will pay you to do it”.
This was a fun, light-hearted episode with some great reminders and practical tips for pursuing your dreams while being a mom to young kids.
