Gotcha Mama podcast episode 36 – Conquering Your To-Do List With Confidence with Samantha Barkley

As a mom, there are so many questions that come up every day about parenting, childhood behavior, health, and development. I want to do the best I can for my kids and I know you do too.

Each new milestone and development benchmark only brings more questions. So naturally, I ask a friend about her experience or I turn to everyone’s trusted “friend” Google. And usually, I get a flood of information and opinions to sift through. Can you relate?

Wouldn’t it be nice to have one reliable place you could go to find resources that would answer your questions about parenting and health and wellness for your family?

That’s what my guest on today’s episode of the Gotcha Mama podcast, Samantha Barkley, set out to do when she created her website and blog A Mom Around Town.

Her own experiences with a newborn left her needing help finding breastfeeding support, sleep guidance and someone just to have coffee with.

She created the website resource A Mom Around Town to help other moms find confidence in themselves and the best health, wellness and parenting information to help them get there.

A Mom Around Town helps moms navigate through pregnancy and parenting to find peace amongst the chaos of mom life.

More about the guest

She is based in the St. Louis area and loves doing anything active outdoors, claims to be completely not stylish, and always has a song stuck in her head.

We talk about

  • How A Mom Around Town serves moms and what types of parenting and pregnancy resources she offers
  • The biggest challenges she faces as a mom to a toddler
  • Ways we can be confident in our motherhood journey
  • How to conquer to-do lists and feel accomplished as a busy mom

More about the Gotcha Mama Podcast:

The Gotcha Mama Podcast is where we share honest stories of the joys and struggles of mom-life with young kids.

Each week host Amanda Bennett interviews a mom about topics ranging from awkwardly making mom friends, to chasing BIG dreams and finding purpose, to managing crippling anxiety and depression. You’ll hear stories from moms like you with the purpose to inspire, encourage, and entertain you.

We understand that motherhood can be lonely and make you doubt yourself. The Gotcha Mama Podcast exists to let you know that you are not alone as a busy mom of young kiddos, no matter what you’re dealing with.

The show is all about tearing down our insecurities as moms by honestly sharing our stories and a little of what we’ve learned along the way.

We believe it’s a whole lot better riding the rollercoaster of motherhood together!
