Gotcha Mama podcast episode 29 – The Often-Overlooked Keys to Having an Organized Home with Kristi Clover

Have you ever looked at Marie Kondo or Martha Stewart and felt for even just a moment like you were somehow “less than” as a mom because your home or crafting or cooking didn’t look like theirs? I know I have.

Upon the first impression, my guest on episode 29 of the Gotcha Mama podcast may appear to be a modern-day Martha Stewart. But this homeschooling mom of five is all about simple and, get this, realistic, ways to organize your home.

My guest on this episode is home organization and efficiency expert, Kristi Clover. Kristi is a wife, homeschooling mama of five kids, speaker, writer, and host of the Simply Joyful podcast.

Kristi’s passionate about encouraging and inspiring families by offering simple solutions for a more joy-filled life. I’m all over simple, my friend.

She claims to be the “messiest organized person you’ll ever meet”. And I find that really refreshing and encouraging to hear from a home organization and efficiency expert. Especially while I’m in this season of mom life with a toddler and one on the way.

**Confession time: I Love Marie Kondo, but I will never be able to keep my underwear drawer organized like she does. That’s just a bar too high for this mama to reach.**

With this in mind, Kristi is all about reminding you to give yourself grace as a mom. To focus on what’s really important to you – the people and relationships inside the home you’re organizing.

She empowers you to take control of your home environment in ways that work best for you and your family. And she’s not afraid to break the “rules” of home management and organization.

More about the guest

Kristi lives in San Diego, California with her husband of 22 years and her five kids, ranging in age 6 to 17. She is a down-to-earth writer, creative extrovert, and energetic speaker. She loves sharing her adventures in motherhood and home life on the Simply Joyful podcast and on social media.
