Gotcha Mama podcast episode 70 – How to Stop Feeling Out of Control and Flourish After Divorce with Stephanie Nichols

This is the last episode of No thanks, November.

And no matter if you’re married or divorced, my guest Stephanie offers some great advice on how to gain control in your life and let go of “old” beliefs that aren’t serving you well.

When you go through challenges and difficult transitions in life, like divorce, it gives you an opportunity to discover more about yourself and what you value.

What you really want your life to look like.

Stephanie Nichols is a divorced mom of two young boys, author of the book “Create Your Calm: A Guilt-Free Journey to Peaceful Motherhood”, and Certified Life Coach for Divorced Moms.

She works one-on-one with moms who are ready to Flourish After Divorce by helping them create a future they can look forward to.

More About the Guest

Stephanie is known for her passionate personality and telling it like it is, while using a gentle approach to help you get unstuck and make sense of the world.

She helps her clients overcome the natural self-doubt and despair they experience trying to navigate life alone, parenting solo, making decisions on their own, feeling overwhelmed and worrying about their future.

She’s working to create a world where divorce is not viewed as failure, but as a catalyst for growth and a source of resilience and strength.

We talk about

  • What it was like going through divorce with young kids
  • One thing that she’d like moms who have a friend going through divorce to know
  • Her definition of flourishing after divorce and how she helps other moms do it
  • One simple way to feel in control without trying to control the world around you
  • Steps to combat negative thinking and negative beliefs about yourself

More about the Gotcha Mama Podcast:

The Gotcha Mama Podcast is where we share honest stories of the joys and struggles of mom-life with young kids.

Each week host Amanda Bennett interviews a mom about topics ranging from awkwardly making mom friends, to chasing BIG dreams and finding purpose, to managing crippling anxiety and depression. You’ll hear stories from moms like you with the purpose to inspire, encourage, and entertain you.

We understand that motherhood can be lonely and make you doubt yourself. The Gotcha Mama Podcast exists to let you know that you are not alone as a busy mom of young kiddos, no matter what you’re dealing with.

The show is all about tearing down our insecurities as moms by honestly sharing our stories and a little of what we’ve learned along the way.

We believe it’s a whole lot better riding the rollercoaster of motherhood together!
